Project background
Council is planning to upgrade the playground at Rhodes Foreshore Park to provide more opportunities for children of all ages to enjoy the space. We want to create a play space that is inclusive, accessible and caters to kids of all age ranges.
From 30 October - 7 December 2025 we asked for ideas for the upgraded playground. Read the consultation report or view the What We Heard summary.
Community feedback from stage one has been used to draft a concept design and we sought community feedback on what you liked and if anything was missing. Feedback closed on Sunday, 29 March 2026.
Community feedback from stage two will help inform a final design. Council will then prepare tender documentation and construction will begin in late 2026.

Draft Concept Design
