Remember the wonder you experienced when you first visited a library? The joy of finding a new book, or discovering a world of information at your fingertips?

Monday, 14 February is Library Lovers' Day, and the theme is 'Show the Love'. This year we thought we'd share what our local library members love with our City of Canada Bay Libraries Unwrapped, as well as reveal the services and resources you used most in 2021.

You can take part in Library Lovers' Day by sharing a story about your local library or telling us what libraries mean to you. Simply click the 'Read and contribute' button at the bottom of this page to participate in our forum or post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram — just make sure to tag us at @canbaylibraries and #LibraryLoversDay.

A year in a glance

Last year was full of surprises! On Saturday, 26 June 2021, City of Canada Bay Libraries had to once again close our doors due to the COVID-19 Public Health Orders for Greater Sydney. With a strong desire to support our community during this tough time, the libraries team moved back to digital programming, developed a Click and Collect service and continued to improve our vast eLibrary resources.
