After community consultation, both the Community Participation Plan and Development Control Plan were adopted on 19 November and are available to view here.

The Community Participation Plan (CPP) sets out Council’s approach for encouraging community participation and engagement on land use planning matters. It outlines how Council will ensure that communities are given the opportunity to have their say on planning assessments, plan making or changes to regulatory frameworks.

The Development Control Plan (DCP) contains specific controls to guide certain types of development, and achieve particular development outcomes within certain areas. A DCP is a supplementary development guideline that supports Council's primary planning instrument, called the Local Environmental Plan (LEP).

Please note that the CPP sets out public participation with regards to land use planning only, and we will soon be developing our Community Engagement Strategy that will set out our wider approach to community engagement across all Council matters.
