2022-2023

We have amended our Schedule of Fees and Charges 2022-23 to include some new fees to enable MUDs (multi-unit dwellings) to recycle larger volumes of material by requesting additional 660-litre and 1100-litre recycling bins.

The draft amendments were placed on public exhibition but no submissions were received. The new fees were determined as having been adopted as outlined in the Council meeting on 18, October 2022.

Overview of amendments

The amendments include provision for Council to waive fees under certain circumstances which are covered in the ‘categories’ section of the document. This includes the provision for full or partial waiving of fees for charities, as well as community and not-for-profit groups, and the option to provide a larger waste bin for residents who have increased waste for medical reasons.

The amendments also include the addition of fees for waste service elements which are currently not covered in the adopted fees and charges. These are:

  • Additional waste and recycling bins (both 660-litre and 1100-litre bins) for multi-unit dwellings
  • An option for larger waste and recycling bins (660-litre and 1100-litre) for businesses and non-rateable properties that are part of Council’s commercial waste service.
